is there any other service like papaloadz that allows you to download goods after you purchased them through paypal? Even better if there is a script out there that allows me to set it up all by myself rather than going through a third party company.
TIA

I would like to know about that as well

I built this function into my own site... I'm not in a position to share the script though (It's a mess!)........
Check out PayPal dev:

----its cool its cool... so how long did it take you to develop the functionallity? and would you say you were able to create a bullet proof solution such as paypaloadz?
Thanks!

so how long did it take you

a few weeks of messing around...and would you say you were able to create a bullet proof solution such as paypaloadz?

Probably not. There is a php/PayPal dev kit out there, but it's rather poor. The download management bit was my own work however... I failed to find a (free) soloution.

I find it really annoyting to have to wait for computer equipments to be shipped, so I would welcome such a program to download it

Cool thanks! I'll keep you guys posted if I find a "free" solution.

How would you protect against people direct linking the file to their friends, like sure you can password protext the admin panel but what about the file?

(Apr 18 06, 07:38)You use a one-time URL, with a key. I'm not too hot on explaining it, but I know my version works. PayPal post back a confirmation, and if the POST data is not set you get booted back to the homepage.
Undo is the guy to ask...

Ah right, but if someone purchases something on the internet wouldnt it be better to offer a permanent download area, I think YWFT offers this.

(Apr 18 06, 07:50)Sure would. You'd have to build in some registration facility though that would authenticate the user. Even then the link would require their being logged-in and a session ID being set.

...for mine, I'm only dealing with small monies and I can email the users should they fail to use that one-time url and not get their image.
What you're asking for is doable, I just dont know of a free script that will do it all. It might not exist!

isn't Kagi doing a sammich like this?

what the hell is wrong with Payloadz?
- fusionpixel0
thes nothing wrong with them but if you are trying to make some extra money by avoiding the fees from payloaz and you can code, why not save a few extra bucks?
Maybe in the future you can even sell the custom script for others to use.. now we are thinking :)

(Apr 18 06, 08:06)if only all my scripts were in a sellable state I'd make a killing on here....
- thinman0
so you want to develop scripts that allow you to download files?
- fusionpixel0
no, i want to develop a script that ties up with Paypal and after the payment is confirmed it allows the client to download the file they purchased.
