I donot eat meat.
I don't wear leather.
I don't even eat dairy.
I'm also a member of PETA.And ya - there are lots of things going on all over the place to both people and animals. Just because this is one animal vs the thousands in China (where animal rights laws don't exist), doesn't diminish its cruelty.
People are animals just as that rabbit was. Just because we possess cognitive thought doesn't make us any more valuable than that rabbit. I feel more sorry for the rabbit, because it was a fully innocent creature, the equivalent of murdering a baby in my opinion. Isn't that cute. Maybe we should make a purse out of you. version3.

version3, you might hate me for this and i dont' mean to start an arguement, but i eat to live, not live to eat. and i only clothe myself with what i need, nothing more. i don't think i've gone shopping in 2 years. i have one pair of brown, and one pair of black leather shoes. that's it.
it's like the opening scene to 'last of the mohicans'... they only shoot the one dear as that's all they need.
i'm just trying to survive man. if eating humans was accepted i'd for sure be at the front of the line. haha.

This is disturbing is this chick the joseph mengele of the animal world? Maybe she should start making cat skin lampshades, just like the Nazi's did with humans. What a nut job. If she is so hell bent on making a statement, how come she doesn't start making purses out of dead babies. She doesn't have the balls to do that, or is it just not fashionable?

kona, i've never been offended by you, i understand that everyone on here has a opinion and are passionate to some extent in their own beliefs.
my points are to always show a perspective.
i didn't freeze that rabbit it ice.
I do understand the amount cruelty involved in doing such a thing
I also understand that to some people pets are a necessity.
I have seen "pets for patients" programs that allow sick & injured to spend time with dogs and cats. Most patients would rather spend time with the animals than their own family.
there is something very soothing about the unconditional love and attention a pet can give a human, i won't deny that.
I've owned 2 cats in my life and lost one to sickness as a child, that was hard on me.
but, and this is the part that matters to me now.
the worst part of things like this is that it gets so many people up in arms for about 15 minutes until their blood pressure goes back down and the commercial ends so they can get back to their primetime sitcom
I personally hate that type of person. sincerely.

I just wish people, especially in America, would care all the time not just when the bandwagon comes around to pick everyone up.
knowing people like that and knowing they, themselves, know they are like that is a far greater tragedy than the death of this rabbit.
it is my assumption this rabbit has gotten more attention dead than it ever did when it was alive.
