i have the 19" samsung syncmaster 959nf, but its quite dark, comparing to some other monitors, the darker colors are all black, and its not possible to correct/calibrate that. im now looking for a decent lcd monitor. any suggestions?

20" Dell 2005 FPW is what I'm after..

my vote is for the dell.

the 2005fpw's good, but there are lots of shitty screen'd ones out there - i swapped mine three times and have still ended up with a relatively shitty one (light wash around the corners).
I just gave in and accepted it as I'm too cheap to fork out much more ££ for a screen this size. Besides, it's 'only' noticable when displaying full-screen 100% black.

nb. if you can afford the size up, (Dell 2405fpw?), I've not heard any bad stories about the screen quality.
*rues cheapness*

those 20" dells seem to be all the rage nowadays.

I've got a 20" Dell and a 24" Dell.
Get the 24". It's worth it. Just an amazing screen and you can find some great deals (I just saw it for $700 - I paid $1200 when it first came out and think it's worth that).

thank you!

i have 2 20" dells. they're great.
was originally going to get the 24" wide-aspect, but there are tons of complaints all over the web about noisy whining power supplies. caution!
