Nice one boys. One of the things I do miss being over here is sitting out for a weekend getting pissed watching the cricket

ah yes..I've known about this...it's jsut not the same as being at Lord's though...or sipping a brew in the beer garden of a village pub that backs onto the village cricket green
thanks though

sure thing mang, figured it wouldn't be the same fer ya.
as an aside, cricket is a sport that i have absolutely no concept of what is going on. kind of the same feeling of going to your middle school dance the first time you ever were drunk and shit just sort of happened but you couldn't really tell someone if that asked :)

my Pakistani father-in-law had explained it to me many times, I could just never be arsed to remember.
Any game that takes more than one day to play is just not interesting enough for me...

Theres a park here in the OC that we took our little ones to a few weeks ago. We stumbled across a cricket pitch (?)...fully groomed...a club plays there. It was youth day, mostly Indian families.
It was pretty damn fun...we sat there for a while and just watched.
