Indesign Q

  Im working on a book for a class I have, and I'm laying out the design in Illustrator, but I need to know is there a way to setup my pages in Indesign so that I can have it print on both sides of the paper?

  that's an option that's specific to your printer.
  some can. some can't.

  if it can, you'll find a "paper finishing" option (found in the *printer* dialog box when you print from Indesign) which tells the printer to run the paper through on both sides..
