do a search, plenty has been asked about this ;)

no, it's true, adobe stuff has to run through their rosetta translators, making them about the same speed as older macs. but you can boot XP now natively, so you could just use the windows versions and cruise along.
they said the intel native mac versions of CS won't be out till early next year.

just get one and tell us if it's anygood

man! that sucks!
did they stop making the imac g5's? cause i dont see them on apple.
this is crap.
stupid intel shit.
- GreedoLives0
why? just a minor setback.
if you bought an old imac, you'd be kicking yourself next year saying, why'd i buy this extinct piece of crap.
get one, it'll last ya. plus, think of all the windows games you can run now.

apple's boot camp is dope! one of my friend tried it and it works beautiful!

boot camp??
i need this apple for design stuff, not games...
so its pretty useless if it wont even run adobe stuff
- GreedoLives0
it runs it now, but there isn't any speed improvement. it will be better once adobe releases updated versions. and when they do, you'll be like, damn i wished i'd gotten one.

I use one at work it run adobe stuff fine. Here's the thing though. If you are on a G4 now you will notice the intel macs work faster, but if your on a g5 now you will notice the intel mac slower. Adobe doesnt plan on updating its product until cs3 I believe.
They are terribly slow or anything, but id say if u can wait you might be better off, everything 1st gen apple usually sucks. I don't mind it though for work since i was on os9 g4 before. it wasnt up to me to order them I might have waited abit if I was incharge.

adobe is running in emulation and flash has always been slow on the mac, so why the fuck does everyone still think mac`s are good for designers??

i believe they've stopped, though if you decide to go with the g5 imac look under the special deals section on the apple site. there are refurbished ones you can get for under $1300.
