I have a gen 3 and 4 Ipod no problems yet so, I would not bother but I am sure there are lots of people who would disagree.

I want to buy a 1st generation iPod, mint, boxed. I figure if it's in good condition then it would be an investment since the ipos has proved itself to be a industry changing piece of design. Most of them will be in pretty shitty condition by now, but if I can find a good one, it would be worth it. Anyone got any idea where I can get one. Already had a quick look on eBay

i'd wait for a bit though. i have a feeling they'll come out with a new ipod...

my boss has a near mint condition first gen (complete with box and all inserts, mint). but he loves it and i doublt will sell it.

yeah, so i got the applecare thing.
since my first one took a shit and i couldn't do anything about it.
(which made me all anti-ipod until i saw the sexiness of the new black one)
