everytime you use any font at 9pt, these kids get another nintendo 65 (and are equally excited each time)...

I like using smaller point sizes, but if you want to accommodate more people you have to use something a bit bigger.
The user has the ability to change the font through their browser too, but that doesn't count for images obviously.

Everytime you use 9pt Verdana God kills a kitten.
Dude I always Firefox Apple + + for most every site. 9pt is too small to read without going blind.

FYI
be careful if you're using CSS.
If you specify a font pixel size in CSS the user will not be able to change font size in his browser settings. This is a usability issue I just found out about.
Just made the switched using "em" instead of "px". Once you start using them, they make a ton of sense.
