There was a thing a while back where this guy had a "stopped smoking since" flash counter on his site. Anyone got that link or the code to build a counter thaat counters up?

Don't have the fla at work.
I just followed the countdown tutorial on kirupa and swapped the maths around to make it count up.

That's what i've tried but must have missed something somewhere.. it's adding a whole year onto it when it counts up

Change this line:
this.msecs = eventMillisecs - currentMillisecs;
to this:
this.msecs = currentMillisecs- eventMillisecss;
And it should count up.
