So I havent beein able any decent gigs for the past 2 weeks. I was wondering where you guys find work when you feel things are dry?
Links, suggestions.
Im not looking for permanent positions more like freelance contract based.
Thanks!

CreativeHotlist.com is well-worth the money. I totally recommend it.

I think the best method for finding freelance work is to just contact companies directly (email and phone). It helps if you have an online portfolio to direct potential clients too. What's worked for me is to balance pro-bono projects with boring payed ones. That way you can do the work you want, get payed and build your portfolio all at the same time.
Maybe hunt through craigslist for some payed work. A lot of magazines need contributers, this could be a possiblitly for pro-bono work.
good luk
