Any one watch it?
I never even heard of Michael Bublé. He cleaned up.
I was hopin Tegan and Sara would win Alternative album of the year.

Bublé's from Toronto, and was on this casino reality TV show before. That's how I first heard of him, and now he's a big star. His stuff is pretty jazzy, but it's not bad.
I really think the Junos sucked And they usually suck, but this was worse. Pamela Anderson as the host (HORRIBLE idea), Nickelback gaining the most nominations, performances sounding bad because of technical stuff...overall it just reminded me of the Grammy's with a smaller budget = not good.

I enjoyed Buck65 as a host over Pamela Anderson. Move that over-hyped event to another city though...meh.

just a comment there about buble and his stardom. You all remember Norah Jones success several years back? That's largely due to old semi famed jazz dude, Arif Mardin who worked on the album.. Also word has it that Norah is the daughter of sitar playing king, Ravi Shankhar.
Anyways, so David Foster (producer of 80's megahits for Celine Dion and others..) was looking for more money making hit material and connected with buble, producing his album(s) Foster is Canadian too.
So Norah, made buble/jazz a sure bet for foster and i'm sure it's really paid off. If you're into Jazz ballads, and listen to Buble, he's quite solid.
I'd be interested how he'd sound with Diana Krall.. (also one skilled at making money with jazz.. and extremely talented of course.)
well there's my junos rant.
another side note for you americans: When nellie furtado won several JUNOS a few years back, the bouncer at the exclusive afterparty didn't let her in.. haha.
