flash/firefox issue

it only seems to do it with Firefox on a PC but when someone tries to put in their email it comes up with a " instead of @ ! Does anyone know how to solve this?

its like you have an american keyboard, when you enter " you get @, are you using keycodes?

its not happening on my machines. just on the peoples i'm doing it for! they say it works when they use shift + " so there is def some mix up there. tried diff fonts, sys fonts - but always the same. are you on pc + getting the same?

win xp ff1.5 and getting the same.
are you uing keycodes to control the chars you can enter?? you will be better off using the 'restrict' property if so.

not using anything! just a basic input field and exporting as flash 6. it doesn't seem to do it on any other browser/system. Firefox on the mac is fine too.
where is the restrict property?

could you just check the link above? You should see an @ in each of the 4 fields. if so or not try typing into each one an @. the ones with html in it are html tagged and the left 2 are sys fonts...

you get " and when you hit " you get @,
this is like an american keyboard which have the symbols swapped over on the keys. try a simple text field on its own and publish it

i'll upload a new file.have you noticed this on any other forms on FF pc? do you use it all the time?

ui use FF and Flash all the time and never seen this before. I really dont know what to suggest. you can send me the file if you want and I'll publish it for you and send it backto see if that helps.

ahhhh. cheers googe. gonna have to do an html version it seems - just for Firefux.
