Oh I thouroughly enjoyed it up until the point I was rude to my girlfriend and threw up lunch.

Sorry to bust your bubble about Mescal. It has no relationship to peyote. Mescal is booze made from the agave plant, no relationship to the peyote plant (mescaline). Mescaline is the drug extracted from the peyote cactus.
