DREAMWEAVER LINKS - i dont understand....

hi all, I'm hoping you might be able to help me out with a dreamweaver problem. (I'm a complete novice in dreamweaver so bear with me).
When I make links on my page they turn blue and are underlined. Ive tried to change this by going into MODIFY / PAGE PROPERTIES and changing it manually but it doesnt seem to be working. MIGHTY CONFUSED.
any suggestions?

Have you set all of them? hover, active, visited etc...?

didnt even realise you had to.... erm where do I start.... it is sooo wired trying to get the hang of a new programme. any pointers would be really appreciated.
I went on a course and he didnt cover any of this stuff. : (

In Page Properties, Links, Select a colour/behaviour for all four link states.
