Right now I am working on a website and I want to take my stab at Joomla. I was wondering if you guys knew any good resources on joomla templates and template designs. I am a Novice who knows the basics but I am having trouble getting all the modules and such implemented.
I was trying to create a custom look so I could incorporate an image gallery of events that my site has covered.

Unfortunately Joomla has a relatively large learning curve.
There is an active development community, but I don't know too many design communities for it. There are many sites available where you can purchase templates, but in order to make your own, its kind of live and learn.
