I feel shamed for not being able to figure this out but here it goes.
On my mac I can extend my desktop and have 2 different background images. On my windows machine I can extend my desktop but it will only mirror the background. Is there any way to have 2 different backgrounds?

only if you graphics card software supports it.

Yea, what imakedesign said. Only other way is to make a big arse image that spans into the other desktop.
