I've been doing freelance for a while but never under a company name i want to change that anyone know how you go about registering your company information ?

The website for your state can give you the guidelines.
You need a Tax ID as well from the feds.
It can be a hassle in the long run, particularly in filing your taxes. Just a warning. No harm just SAYING you're a company.

i wanted to register that way no one else can take the name.

though i do have the domain registered so im guessing that would be enough.
