Ipod Crashes Itunes

Very odd - appears my music has gone on the pod! Yet I can't check on itunes as it crashes out when it tries to read the pod.
On a positive note the actual file side of things are okay - just the music side.Anyone had any experience of this? know any solutions?
(ive done an ipod software update)

Alright gpop, the copies of blowback finally arrived. Cheers for the cd, it almost makes up for the horrible colour you printed my design in.

yep, just tried that application and it does the same as itunes - crashes out when ipod connected
