Have any of you UK guys ever bought a mac from John lewis? I have just been looking online and they offer a 2yr warranty with every computer... getting tempted by the new MacBook Pro

Can't fault JL. Better than buying it from some apple franchise.

i got my blue and white G3 from there years ago. They replaced the monitor after 4 years.

yeah i go with that too.
buying from JL is better than buying straight from an apple shop.
you'll get MUCH better service at JL if it buggers up or you have any glitches. they wont fanny about, they just take it off you and send it off to be fixed no quibbles.

they also give extended warranty on monitors off the bat. 2 years I think.
Plus they price match if you tell them you have seen the same deal cheaper.

I would wait a bit to get one anyway, never buy the first gen of any new technology, particularly when there isn't completely native software for it yet..
