I am a native spanish speaker, but after 6 years in canada I feel like spanish is my second language.
I think in english now eventhough I stiil make mistakes.
My brain operates in english and my mouth in spanish and they don't seem to want to get along together.
And because of my gf, I can understand quite a bit of japanese, but can't speak in single word of it pretty much.

btw i'd like to learn some scandinavian language. Maybe finnish, or swedish. Icelandic sounds cool too. it reminds me of the strong spanish accent.

I wonder how much that effects you, in what language you think. I belive duplicate languages makes your mind broader.

A lot of the older people moving to iceland, forgets their native language over the years and never learn icelandic properly because it's really hard to learn.
This leave them without a language at all after 5-10 years.... It must be fucked up to live like that..
