I have found most Americans to be overly mean and generally angry since I have arrived here in Duluth.
Two days ago, my neighbor told me to "Go fuck myself" after my basset hound went to the bathroom on his lawn. He told me to "Go back to where [I] came from."
In Reunion, it is almost customary for dogs to roam the street you live on and go where they need to. Most people accept it and their dogs do the same. I was completely taken when I was told to have sex with myself though.

On an unrelated note, my mom was traumatized a few months ago when a woman (whom my parents had a car accident with) called her a motherfucker. She (the woman) was obviously having a bad day, b/c her boyfriend was attempting to calm her down and the accident wasn't really more of one person's fault.

America is so big, so many differnt types of secnery, so many differnt types of people. Each state and even city has its own flavor. I love it. Its like having tons of countries in 1 place.
But ya, Americans are nice, the only place I have found them not to be as nice and more like brits are in the bigger cities like San Fran and NY. But if you go to the northwest, texas, montana pretty much most other states, most people are nice and down to earth.
