My wife and I saw this television show for the first time last week. It was boring.
But, the show last night was well directed.

Most Definitely!
The Wire is by far my favorite HBO show, you have to pay very close attention, tons of storylines playing out and interweaving all the time, amazing characters - Avon Barksdale anyone?
Love it and miss it - when does a new season start? Is there even a new season?
jesus .... you guys have no patience for story development
thats what I love about The Wire
its about character & story
its never based on one episode

i honestly don't like the new directing of the series. give me the old!

was it season 4 that had an equally sucky finale with just a big dream sequence? I have vague memories from a hotel room overlooking central park and tony was just in there dreaming.
not too impressed with this one. was the fart in the leather couch part of the story development?

haa.. I don't think too many people caught the Vito fart, hilarious..
I have no interest in these dream sequences at all.. ya, they're suppost to be symbolic, but we've waited too long. I need my fix. Next week looks promising, minus Tony again tho... boo

i hate vito - he and paulie are gonan have power struggle i hope pauie wins
plsu sint vito kinda too close with that ny guy with the eyebrows?

jox, the dream in the hotel was in the 10th episode of season 5.
macphisto, you can't watch a Sopranos episode this late in the series and judge it like that. If you have no connection with the characters or what happened previously of course it didn't mean anything to you. I always tell everyone to watch them all from the very beginning in order to really appreciate it and really know what is going on. There are a lot of details that you can miss the first time around anyway.

Pretty disappointing after waiting all this time for a new season. Even waiting all week for this last episode was pretty disappointing, though the acting is always well done.

digitalswarm is correct
Rand
(Mar 20 06, 09:59)p.s. an 'open incision'? is that for real? the season finale will have tony dying of sepsis.

alot of symbolism in the dream im going to watch that part again tonight :)

This is turning into a Six Feet Under finale.
Leave the main character alone, pls... at least for the first two episodes.

(Mar 20 06, 13:01)yeah, i thought it was odd that he was always putting his arm around him. i think he'll have a run in with finn and that'll be the end of vito. i loved his comment regarding the suicide, "maybe he was a homo and couldn't talk to anybody."
