Can you guide me in the direction of some tutorials or plugins for photoshop that have good lighting tricks. I am trying to create a sort of 'superhero' shot of a product

there is a great book caled lighting & rendering by new riders which is just that, mostly for 3d but the principles can be applied to 2d.
