Yea, I heard about someone here leaving due to ill feelings here. =[
Had me worried, cause I was like, "Um, I just left a job that would have paid $xxx, xxx in Orlando..."
But, being here in NY has made it more than worth it and the company was really good about getting me and the Mrs. here.
Plus, if things get rough here - I can find another decent gig with an agency here in town. Lots more opportunity here.
So far so good though.

i know someone who used to work at where you are.
i wonder how it changed... i am curious. now you guys don't even show any of rendering on the site?

i always go with the 1's, no less than 31... i think it might just be an old rumor that caught on though. as far as flash being slow on a mac, i sometimes bump up to 51/61 if all of my motion is scripted (allowing code/time to determine length of animations) etc... seems to allow the mac player to catch up to the PC.

Yea, if you are on a Mac, you may notice the performance difference with the new player. I did. Granted, my G4 has 1.5gb of ram, so most sites run fairly well.
Jobby job is cool. Haven't been too busy which is good. Gives me time to sort things out here. Code, code, code...pretty much all I do now. =]

so i should get Flash8? i am gonna wait till i buy macintel and then flash8 on that platform comes out.
btw, how's your job, honda?

30/31 is fine. Scripted motion works best on a Mac. Tweens generally slow it down. I develop entirely on a Mac. Flash 8 solved a lot of performance issues on Mac's as well. Sites running Flash 8 seem to run more efficiently. Doesn't really have to do with what "elements" of Flash 8 you use as much as it has to do with the compiler itself. Much better than previous version.

always used 25fps, mainly for PAL video compatibly, but i'll try 31, thanks for the tip.

nice dino, I still have to hammer out the deal with marquette, but either way I will send you your payment :)

mrdobolina... what up!? i can't remember if i emailed you back or not but i'm ready whenever you want to send the files my way.

31 fps is good luck.

31
this is going back about 4 or more years now ... but i think that if you set the movie to run at 30fps then it'll run at that on a PC but a Mac will run it slower.
if you set it to 31 seemingly it'l run the same on a PC but it'll force the mac to play at same speed (or faster - at least moreso than 30fps)

31.
