Does anyone know how I can screenprint a varnish? Is this easy to get hold of?
Cheers
p.s. I live in the UK

workingprocess, use transparent base. I was thinking about doing a clear varnish on black paper soon to test it.

Blatent plug for our suppliers in th u.k: http://www.selectasine.com/
Easily the cheapest and best resource in the london area.
Workingprocess, whaat do you mean, printing with a wood type varnish? I'm sure you could but it would probably fuck your mesh up. If it's for a paid job, do it anyway, look at the wesite above for cheap screens.

Thanks mrdobolina
Is that a special ink that is specifically used for a varnish look or is it meant for some other purpose with other other paints?

Do any of you fellas have any of your screen print work online?

The extender is used to make inks transparent, actually.
I have never tried what I told you to do, but I would be very interested to see how it turns out. Seems to me that it is really just ink minus a pigment.

It is just because I need to do a one off spot varnish within a catalogue so that the cheapest way would be to screenprint it myself.
I tried selectasine but they don't seem to know of any product that gives that effect

crisco makes for a great spot varnish

Still designing the new website for the screenprinting studio i have, but am thinking of using my Computerlove space to hold some of our new collection meantime.

What is Crisco? Is it some food product? Have you tried it yourself BonRickles?
