Hey everyone,
So I'm looking for any advice about approaches and styles for converting/redesigning video somewhat similar to what is found at http://dell.com/workstations/ but making everything animated....
rotoscoping?
filters of some sort?
just drawing the animations?there will only be about two weeks to finish the animations, so obviously something of the pixar/disney quality isn't really an option.
any help or suggestions would be awesome. i'm feeling a bit stuck at the moment.

OHHH boy thats a bad bad green screen pull on the dell girl.... rotoscoping will take a long time and if you dont have good quolity video to cut from will turn out bad....

yeah, really bad pull on that video...
that's what i was thinking with the rotoscoping, probably not worth it especially considering the time frame.

I am not sure what you are asking for...
Do you mean getting the outlined video of a person?
Why not just do the same thing they did - green screen, then get a plugin for AF (I can probably dig an old link up) that will make vector stuff, then comp into what ever you want.

Depending on if you have a good 3D package, and don't care about perfect movement, you could buy some of the 3D models with motion capture data. Some of them look pretty good and are pretty painless to use, I believe.
That's primarily with 3D Studio and Character Studio.
Just depends on how specific the motion has to be.
