Ok I checked Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caf…It doesn't say which way is more widely accepted, only that the spelling with the accent is French in origin. Now, I know that the town in which this cafe resides is an English speaking town, so I think cafe without the accent would be okay. Guess I'll just end up asking the client

i think Café would be better. Accents can look nice too. but i doubt anyone would scoff if it wasnt there.

Which spelling of café is most appropriate? Usually I go with "café" but this is for a logo where the accent could get in the way of the design. Since the majority of you are designers, would you scoff if you saw it spelled without the accent over the 'e' or does it matter? This would only be used in Canada.
