Hi all,
I finally decided to move to Tiger and I thought if I just moved my "User/Library/Mail" contents from one mac (Panther) to the other (Tiger) it'll be alright but it doesn't seem to work.
Is there a way of doing this?
Thanks

That's what I do, but I find I have to set up each account again from scratch first, then once that is done I drop the old Mail folder items in and overwrite the new ones. Works pretty well. You might also try the import feature.
Good luck.

Be VERY careful not to accidentally delete some account settings - all emails sent to that account gets deleted along with it and it doesn't prompt you about it. Fucking Apple.. I made that mistake and lost years of correspondence.

Thanks. I'll give it a go.

This might be useful:
http://docs.info.apple.com/artic…Better still is using IMAP mail accounts rather than POP, so you just need to put the settings into the new account, and it sucks down all the old mail from the server... Makes it possible to have the mail accessible through a mail client on multiple computers as well.

If you move all Mail files/folders and the preferences, it should be seamless . . .
I think
