Web designer really makes no sense at all. "Yeah, I design webs"??? I've used interactive designer, or occasionally graphic designer, but then if I say that to someone who works with print, they flip out.

So are we leaving the term webdesigner to the Frontpage hacks then?
btw, I have noticed even the term web developer seems to hold more weight in terms of the average persons perception.

new media designer, media architect ummm but i never say web designer. its like telling people you buy your clothes at tjMaxxx. it just makes you sound so uncool

My official title at work is web designer/ developer.
I need to make up some elaborate title that basically means the same thing.

Just last week. An email from my Aunt and Uncle.
"Oh sweetie, we just saw your site. Did you draw all those pretty pictures on there? We gave your info to a friend of yours who was looking for someone to make them a site and we know you can draw very well."
Better to be called a web designer than a web drawer outter.
