We're running a Flash banner on our site, but it is asking users on Windows IE who have Flash 7 to install Flash 8... (Our adserver does modify uploaded Flash banners to extract hard-coded URL's to allow click tracking, and compresses - but next to the compression tickbox it says "requires v6")...so why would a banner require Flash 8? Has it got something to do with how it was authored? (banners were sent to us by an agency).
Banners here if you reload a few times...

sure the banner wasn't published under flash 8 in the output settings?

no... thats when they export from Flash? I'll have to ask the agency...
What export settings should they use if we want to be at least Flash7 compatible?strange thing..one of the banners now works, it had two embedded links... I reloaded and deselected one link in the adserver import. The other that had only one embedded link still doesnt work.

when you ouput from flash you can specify which version of the player you are targetting, this needs to be compatible with the code thats has been written (no v8 code in v7 output etc) but it is quite simple
