Hi guys
I´m working video files captured from a DV cam using windows movie maker to make avi files. (supposedly without compression)
These files are of the order of 3-5 gigabytes each.I got a pretty fast computer yer Adobe Premiere crashes when I want to import any of these files.
What i need to do with the files is trim them to reduce 50 minutes to 5.
Any solution for this problem?
DO you know any other program to trim big files other than premiere? May the problem be related to some codec Windows Mpovie Maker put into my files?I´m stack on there and on a rush!
Thanks for toyr help!cure

my only suggestion is to recapture in premiere. but... why use windows movie maker when you have premiere?
using premiere, i like to output to quicktime, using sorensen 3 compression. it's good quality, without having to use up too much space. divx is also good, but you have to deal with the divx logo on the first few seconds of your video.
