It's definitely toned down, but I actually like it. I'm more for the pop/rock/indie stuff than just the weird, rock stuff. I get impatient waiting for the actual song to start.
I think Karen's vocals have gotten better.

yeah.. the old one was way grittier and the fact that its all one guitar made it impressive.. now its on the BRMC tip with acoustic guitar

Yup, they do. I guess they just do that for the cities where they have the most fans or something. Or maybe because of how the drinks are set up...
