spot to RGB for tv?

is there a general rule for converting a spot to RGB for tv to adjust for the different mediums? the blue in print i'm using looks purple when using a straight up conversion.

i don't know about TV, but i use this chart for web colors and its been pretty good so far.

it really doen't matter actually because all the tv screens have a different colormodel.
so you will never get ur spot color right..just convvert to rgb, cause you will know the broadcast safe levels with fuck the colors up anyway...

try and view it on a broadcast monitor at least.
but yea every telly will display it differently. welcome to the world of broadcast design!

Yeah, you need to look at the rgb color on a calibrated monitor. Specaillly if you are using it for text, making sure that it doesnt buzz.
beware warm colors like reds and oranges, cooler colors are usually ok.

yeah the first dvd menu i ever made buzzed like a motherfucker... 3 pt red lines on a white background. woops.
