Im trying to use Mailing List Deluxe v5.95 by ( www.internet-soft.com ) to send out an html email newsletter for one of my clients.
During the testing phase right now, i found out that it sends emails to all webmail accounts but for other non webmail accounts (like my clients own email address) it says that my IP has been put on some DNS block list for suspected spam like activity!!!!
Help and support at Internet-Soft.com is no good!
My question is how do companies like Vertical Response, Pure 360 and MyEmma.com send out email newsletters without getting blocked??

eh?

as in i like the website linked in your profile. jim is an arbitrary name. we all have a jim in us. search for the "jim" thread for further enlightenment.
i wish i was more helpful regarding your actual query but i am worthless.

oh.... used to be 'joe' instead of 'jim' at one time :)
but thx anyways!
so...... anyone else??

im sending a newsletter using phplist, is a script not an app
so for me there are several things not to be blocked
for instance, your email server has NOT be open relay, you have to create email accounts like abuse@.... and postmaster@....
your email server has to have a reverse DNS, ensure your domain DNS record has the right A / MX / PTR records associated with it
so those are a few steps for not to be blocked!
aah and BTW if you ip is blokead you can check here:
http://www.spamcop.net/bl.shtmlcheck if your ip is there!
bye

there ain't jacksh*t you can do about it once they block your IP. Legally, any user who does is allowed to do it. Anti-Spam laws passed by a number of countries. I use Constant Contact at http://www.constantcontact.com and receive plenty of bounces, which area broken down and many are blocks.
