i think the unpimp ones are funny but vw kids are infamous for customizing thier cards.. so it sorta misses the mark there

no, this is why they are dead on. for the first time VW is trying to appeal to their enthusiast crowd. folks who modify their VWs consider themselves to be more "euro" and classy with modifications. they consider other non-european cars (like the ones in the commercial) "ricey" etc. :)

It's kinda of lowdown that they're destroying other manufacturer's cars in the spots too. It's kind of an unwritten rule actually, makes VW appear desperate for sales.
