Movie clips communication

I used this tutorial to make externally loaded movie clips communicate with eachother. It works perfect when I test in Flash. Then when I upload them to a server, they no longer communicate with eachother. WTF is going on??
Here's the tutorial I used http://www.webwasp.co.uk/tutoria…

Are you sure they are both in the same directory? Both showing up on the same html page?
It should work.

i'd check directory structure

I was testing out some of their "examples", and let's just say they're flawed, likely because it's going back to frame 1 (after going to frame 50) and repeating the declaration of variables.
I'd recommend:

By "flawed examples," I mean they altogether stop working after a few clicks.

Yeah everything is structured correctly, the directory is set up correctly as far as I know. I put the swf's all in the same location, just like they were on my desktop. The tut says to create a local connection, and I just read somewhere that Flash Player 8 has a local connection bug. Still strange because if Flash Player 8 shows the movie just fine from my desk top, it should do the same on the website.

True, I did a quick comp sans the onEnterFrame stuff they did, and it seemed to work.

I modified the code. This is my set up- a main movie clip with two empty movie clips that are used to load external swf's. Now one of these external movie clips has an empty loader also. I want the other loaded movie clip to tell this one to load an external swf. It all worked great on my desktop.
