Australian Wage Question

G'day g'day.
Just wanted to get some advice on wages in Melbourne.
I've been at my company (primarily web-design) for one year now. Got my degree 2004.
We have 4 employees, 2 developers, 1 CSS guru, and two owners.
I am the sole designer of web, print, animation and video. I take the concepts right from start to finish, and I'm responsible for all printing etc.
I regularly meet with clients (but never by myself) and often liase with them while working on a brief.
I occasionally bring in business for the company (which I get a finders fee for).
I had a look on the AGDA site which had a good guide to wages, but I first must decide where I fit in Junior/Mid-Weight/Senior.
Any help would be great.

what you are doing doesnt sound junior to me. i'd say mid.
im a print designer so im not sure what web designers are meant to earn, but i would estimate around 30-45k. thats sydney rates though, which might be slighly higher then melb. it depeneds on your previous experience and stuff too though dude. hope that helps :)

I guess if you just consider the "one years" experience Junior sounds appropriate.
But when you consider the responsibilities of meeting and dealing with clients, and having no-one directly instructing me on what to do, it sounds more mid-weight.
I don't think years is a very good system to define experience - anybody can sit in an easy job doing the same thing for 5 years... which is only really one years experience five times over...

sounds like you're getting great experience for your level. Thats payment enough. Would you rather spend your early years making tea in a huge studio..? :)
