(Feb 21 06, 10:36)HOLY MOTHER!
Thats not a style, thats a blatant rip off! I mean they didnt even try to "recreate" the look, they just took screen shots and used the elements from ISO. Look at those "taped" looking edges, they are EXACTLY the same. Thats so lame.

This is indeed Avant Garde Gothic Bold. The 'R' is from a version sold by Adobe:
http://store.adobe.com/type/brow…The alternates are either created by the poster designer or from E+F's set:
http://www.fontshop.com/showfont…Remember, the same typeface can vary in fonts from different sources. Sometimes they are digitized by different studios, sometimes one vendor has a revision, while the other has the first digitization.

mr_snuggles - I'm sorry my links aren't working for you. Our system can get tripped up by users outside the U.S. We're working on a fix.

(Feb 21 06, 12:30)Thanks man.
Weird cause I have the ITC Avant Garde Gothic set and the R is there for the "medium" , "light, and "book" sets but not for "bold". Weird.

At some point the Bold was redesigned with the closed 'R' because they felt it works best in the lighter weights.

(Feb 21 06, 12:45)Ahh ok. Well thats lame. The open R is my favorite character in that Typeface.

I'm glad that the Adobe version is still available to you then. Unfortunately, I don't know if it will get along with the E+F or ITC OT alts.
