which one looks better?
One has a serif and the other doesn't

Sans.

my opinion:
sans would look better if it had a bit more weight on the 'down'... compared to the serif version which has a better balance between the top and bottom type
you might want to lose that hairline stroke around the cross as well – it'll disappear real quick once that logo gets scaled down

Sans is good, keep it consistent.
But just to entertain a thought:
Drop is without serifs. But lower case type, as in your "rop" of Drop, comes off with something that subtly reminds (me) of it.
See what happens if you work on matching the "down" with more subtle serifs a bit.

Thanks, that outline wan't supposed to be there. I'll try a heavier sans as well.

PeterH:
I'm not sure I understand what you mean. Do you think the word "Drop" should be all uppercase? and the word "down" use a gentle serif?
- Peter0
I was thinking a more gentle serif to match the little cuts from the lowercase "drop". But just to play around with and see where it takes you.
If you put Drop in all uppercases I'd match it with "down" in all sans.

I gotcha now.
Thanks, I'll give it a shot.
