Hey,
Im moving from New York to Sydney quite soon, actually ive already left NY so im on the way. I was wondring if anyone knows any good sites to look for jobs. I was working in broadcast design in NY for 2 years. Designing boards and animating for Tv etc. But I have a degree in graphic design, so i would go into Web aswell if I had the chance.
Thanks a million,

Cheers man,
While im at it i may aswell ask, whats the scene like in Australia anyway? Sydney a nice place to live? Easy to come by design work?

its good. Im in london now but im from aus. im not majorly clued on to the sydney scene but i know its very strong.
when you get there buy a copy of
http://www.australiancreative.co…or Campaign Brief (for the advertising side)
check the directory on Australian in front for a list of studios too.

if you're not going there for a job, what made you choose syndey?

My wife and i are considering a move down there. How's the immigration? What are the big issues? How is the job market for creatives?

I left NY 4 weeks ago, Im in Dublin at the moment, im from here so im just taking my time, getting some Euro together and stuff. I dunno, Aus seems like a cool place and if you have a degree its well easy to move there. Plus i want the heat!

Even though my wife and i both have degrees, we seem to not be able to get enough points to get in. Any recommendations?
- Evin0
well if youre under 30 just get a working holiday visa for a year and see what happens...chances are youll get sponsored...that what im doing even though i do have enough points.
- pyeaton0
wow! great. I am over 30 though. DAMN! Need to find a way. i would love the warmth, the atmosphere, and the culture. Just need to get there.
great design coming out of oz as well.

Yeah man thats what i reckon aswell. NY was great but the weather in the winter is shite, its very much indoor living. Im looking for the outdoor life year round.
- pyeaton0
same here evin. u mind if i drop you an email for some advice?
I surf, and live in new england. WTF? there are like 3 good weeks here. Not to mention, the indoor thing for as long as it goes is a real downer.
- Evin0
Yeah no hassle mate, i just applied for my visa today. You may want to check the age thing, im not 100% sure if its below 30 only. And if youre American you maybe have some different options to Euro passport holders. Yeah im all about learning to kite surf...
- pyeaton0
No kidding! That would be the preferred method of entertainment there. No waiting for curls, no sharks, just fun. Where bouts are you moving there?
- Evin0
