I started using it after reading many good things about it. It is giveng me a very hard time—switces fonts off on its own, looses tracks of them being on the system, not letting me open fonts until I restart, etc.
anyone know of a way to solve these things?

I haven't had any of these problems. I did let FontExplorer copy and organize all my added fonts into a specific library ala iTunes style. Maybe that could help?
