I need something simple. All the CMS' I've played around with do way too much. I just need something where I can post an image, and it will link to the previous one.
Something similar to trueistrue.

Try out LucidCMS. It's dead simple. I was looking for something fluff-free and found it with Lucid. Set up your templates with css or set them up in DW and paste the code, whatever your flavor, this ain't no jive turkey.

Try blogsoftware like Movable Type. They suit fine for a simple CMS site

if you have tried a bunch on that review link and still want something even simpler, i think the blog engines are some thing for you. strip out all the functionality and use it to post shit i an interface.
if all you want is a gallery funtion, user SlideShow Pro or something similar.
also, what type of backend are you looking to use? i might have exactly what you want in a CMS that is CSS-friendly, independant display code base, open-sourced, ect.

throw it at me, madirish. php or mysql, would be ideal.
