problems in 10.4.4

Does anyone know how to solve a problem I'm having working in 10.4.4. Basically none of the normal short cuts work in Illustrator and Photoshop for example can't use the hand tool by just pressing space bar with mouse and can't zoom in or out...am finding this very annoying. If anyone can help would be much appreciated. Cheers folks

I have heard of something like this before - it was related to a permissions issue. Repair your permissions and see what that does - and do it with all apps closed.

or delete your photoshop prefs then restart photoshop

I have the same problems on my g5 it sucks ass when it happens the only way i could ever fix it was to archive and install and re install photoshop.
It doesnt happen on my g4 or my ibook which is odd.
Deleting prefs and other normal fixes would never work.
Its frustrating as hell.
