hard disk vid-cameras

can anyone recommend a good hard disk video camera or a good review site? i'm looking at getting one and have less than any clue about it all.
any help / info appreciated!

i dont recommand you getting a hdd vid-cam unless you plan to buy one again over and over...

dont know about what hdd they use i just think it wont last long, i think it will be like an iPod where that seems to be a hudge problem. id stick to tapes with firewire that way you have them as backups aswell. i dunno i think my advice is just based on the iPod so id recommand you google a video camera review site i think that photo camera one also does videos ones but i could be wrong.

can you recommend an entry level video cam? i'm just going to be creating DVD loops for a company using FCP + Motion so i need something easy and good but not Feature Film quality.

Yeah, I would agree with HW.
The problem I have with getting one is that the shaky transport of cameras (no matter how slight) increase the possibility of damaging the HD. In spite of their portability and usage in external storage, hd's are still fragile, and certainly don't require a huge knock to permanently damage it.
Plus, it's probably easier just to exchange tapes when one is full, whereas you'd have to unload the HD to film again.
