my client has no artworking software but would need to preview .EPS files. She only has Acrobat reader which I know doesn't work, is there a freeware package available online?

Why do you need to send .eps files for preview?
Can you not just rasterise them and send then as jpegs or gifs or something?

send them pdf versions. convert fons to outlines and export , job done.

I'm the one receiving the EPS artwork from them.
They are compiling a hoard of logos to be used but as each company has supplied a disc with all manner of artwork, she needs to find the right ones and pipe them through to me.
I don't have time to go through 46 CDs and pick out the proper logos with the right straplines. She has found that some designers aren't so clever with naming their file names so they aren't so obvious as to what they actually are.
if that made any sense....

adobe bridge man, goes through every adobe file with a viewer that you can customize to view either large or small, its like going through a slide show but quicker, try it out if you have cs2, if not, well you know what to do

er, I don't have the files, my client does. she needs to sift through 46 CDs to pick out certain logos with certain straplines. I'd do it myself, but they think they are saving money by organising it themselves (a first) go figure.

yes one can definitly view EPS files on either Apple of M$ platform- that is the very point of the file format. it is called "Encapsulated Post Script" for a reason.
not sure of a preview app though that is "free" though for the PC, there must be though. you can use Preview on apple for it anyway.
