how do you save a legacy version of a PSD from CS? the person i am sending this to has PS 5 ish

I would say save it as a tiff so it keeps its layers, but i don't think Photoshop has a legacy like illistrator does.

couldnt you save it as a pdf with keeping the layers? and just save as a low version of teh said pdf....iunno...this is wack.

edit > prefs > file handling > maximize psd compatibility
should create backward compatible psds. any new cs tricks will be discarded when you open in older versions
