Yes, we need them.
Here in DR is not easy to make understand advertisers to buy impressions not space.Thats exactly the reason why i posted. We know its a versy busy layout, but in the meantime it has to be. All wants de first page, first scroll, all time in the page.

some quick wins:
- get rid of the top lightbrown background
- outline the pepsi-ad with the top of the main content area
- use the diagonal striping more consistently (or not at all, which is conistent enough)
- the verizon/minimensajes/etc. thing needs a lot more work, think about size, location (in relation with the pepsi-ad) and the relation with other elements (e.g. less important, informal = make it smaller)hope that helps
