Are there any recommended grid books out there other than
Grid Systems in Graphic Design? What about: Making and Breaking the Grid?http://www.amazon.com/gp/product…
I would rather get NT'rs opinions than Amazon users.

Decent, and inexpensive:

gird systems by muller-brockman is all you need. honestly.
plus the book is freaking beautiful.

Can't recommend it personally, but I've been wanting to get it for a while now: http://youworkforthem.com/produc…
Since "We consider this to be the academic part two to 'Grid Systems.'" it seems like the logical next step.

grid systems, principles of organizing type by kimberly elam is a good one, as is the designer and the grid.
the brockmann series is a must own though it is a little tough to understand sometimes.
also the typography workbook from rockport has tons of information and examples about setting up typographical grids. grids and type go hand in hand.

The Rudolf-Bosshard book looks pretty smart, It's interesting to see color and density addressed in the development of a grid.

I've got this one, more of a type focus, but good overall.

This sums it all up:
http://youworkforthem.com/about.…Also, The Rudolf-Bosshard book is a very intense, however, a very good read.
My only gripe, because i'm in the states, is that for some reason they converted the points to millimeters on all examples.
