The answer could be even simplier: Helvetica Bold or even Arial Bold. WhatTheFont gave me an error when trying to recognize the font....

i also got the error.
tried helvetica bold and neue bold, but its not it. the characters seem a tiny bit wider. custom?

This is not Akzidenz Grotesk, I would also vote for Helvetica Bold.. or Univers. Akzidenz uc R has straight leg.

Tomi's right. Due to the R it's probably Helvetica Bold.

Antialiasing can do weird things to character shapes at small sizes, that may explain the width.

are these characters stretched? the Y especially looks wider than standard Helvetica Bold. Does anyone have "The Answer"?
