make the shape using the shapes tools.
then cut out the corners of the rectangle you want to put the round in.
create a small circle and paste it into the gap you just made. there you go.
or, in the shapes tool you can use the rounded rectangle tool to create the rounded corners.

LOL @ dopepope. Unless of course there really is some sort of generic Adobe Tool.
Anyway, I would suggest using Illustrator to do this. It would be easier.
And, even though this seems odd, I often use FLash to draw shapes like that because it's got such an intuitive drawing process for stuff like that. Then just export an image and voila!

illustrator, effects/stylize/round corners. There's no easy way in PS.

you could use feather to get the corners rounded then save as path and create selection to get a solid fill. Easiest way would be do draw in Illustrator and paste into PS.

indeed very easy with illustrator.was playing around in ps too long.
